The Balance of Family Test

The Balance of Family Test is a mandatory requirement for Subclass 103. You pass if:

At least 50% of your children are settled Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible NZ citizens.
More of your children live in Australia than in any other single country overseas.

Assurance of Support (AoS)

An Assurance of Support is a legal commitment by a sponsor or third party to provide financial support so the applicant does not rely on Australian welfare payments. A financial bond is lodged with Centrelink and held for a specified period.

Health and Character Requirements

  • Medical examinations conducted by approved BUPA or panel physician clinics.
  • Police clearances for all countries lived in for 12+ months in the last 10 years.
